you guys are mistaken about this.
Remember the ships that were going "out of control"? Running into cargo ships and other navel ships? Someone was over ridding the system much like a car that has auto steering on it.

They were congratulating themselves over finishing the lay over software to prevent this from happening. It wasn't complex at all for a software developer.
