Recently returned from a road trip to Virginia to see my Papa. He was lying on the kitchen floor when we arrived! His wife had gone out for a couple of hours, so he was home alone when he decided he wanted some ice cream. Anyway, he apparently had used his walker to go into the kitchen in his sock feet, dropped the ice cream container, and slipped trying to pick it up. I had tried to call when we were about 30 minutes out, but he did not answer. Jokingly, I told my husband that Papa must already be asleep... Thankfully, he was not hurt and husband and I were able to get him up. I then fed him ice cream from a new, not-melted container until his wife arrived about 30 minutes later.
