Wall Street firms part of ‘climate cartel,’ colluded to curb emissions: House report

A “climate cartel” made up of left-wing advocacy groups and Wall Street firms have colluded to force American companies to reduce carbon emissions, a congressional committee charged in a scathing report Tuesday.

The interim report is the first of its kind produced by the Republican-led Judiciary Committee in the House since it launched an investigation in late 2022 into whether corporate efforts to tackle climate change violate antitrust laws.

It accused business groups and advocacy organizations of “muzzling corporate free speech” and “handcuffing company leadership” through “ever-escalating pressure tactics,” which included “taking out” directors at firms that are deemed “recalcitrant.”

The “collaborating” groups included climate Action 100+, the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative and the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero as well as the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) and the “Big Three” asset managers – Vanguard, BlackRock and State Street.

Representatives for BlackRock, State Street and Vanguard did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Several Republican-controlled states have been already targeting Wall Street firms for entering into climate coalitions and marketing environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG)-focused investment products, fretting that these initiatives will harm jobs in the fossil fuel industry.

In the Judiciary Committee’s report, the committee staff accuse President Biden’s administration of failing to “meaningfully investigate the climate cartel’s collusion, let alone bring enforcement actions against its apparent violations of longstanding US antitrust law.”

A White House spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“The goal of any investigation is to inform legislative reforms,” a spokesperson for Judiciary Committee chair Jim Jordan said.

Climate Hysterics are already doing more economic and social damage than actual climate change (if indeed there is any) can ever do in the next 500 years. But that's a feature, not a bug.

Never forget that the whole "CO2 global warming" meme is a false crisis, invented out of thin air by the neo-malthusian Club of Rome as a tool to force a 90% die-off of human populations by suppressing Western European culture and technology. Human suffering is irrelevant...

Meanwhile, trust the climate oligarchs to find private profit in public policy.

There are 2 issues to my mind.

1. If through their collaboration, these climate~activist companies and investment firms target an uncooperative company, they indeed are committing anti~trust violations. At a minimum, it is tortious interference.

2. The corporate boards and investment firms have fiduciary obligations to their respective investors. That is, their decisions must be in the best interests of those investors, without regard to their own agenda of addressing climate change. If those 2 objectives are in conflict, the investors best interests are paramount.

Any investors that have entrusted their monies to the participants in those practicing this activism can and should file class~action suits for these breeches of fiduciary duty. If proven, the individuals on these corporate and investment~firm boards would have direct and personal liability for their actions.

What has been going on here should not be a surprise to anyone. The activist left has been positioning themselves on corporate boards, charitable foundation boards, investment~fund boards, and more. All with the intent of having these organizations redirect their focus onto climate, and other social~justice objectives. This is just another example of the left co~opting O.P.M. (Other Peoples Money} for their own purposes.

Everything is tied in with environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG).
American heterosexual Christian White Men are singled out for discrimination.
That’s a very narrow description.
They are discriminating against White men on hiring, teaching, contracts and promotions.
It is even written into law in California’s high speed rail to not give contracts to 12 percent of the
contractors if the contractor is owned by a White man.
Globalism, illegal aliens, sustainable living, sustainable cities, public transportation, subsidized
high density housing, electric cars, solar, wind, water, food, education, war, refugees, 600,000
dead in Syria and 500,000 dead in Ukraine, Covid, the Jab, it’s all tied into what the global
oligarchs want.
These globalists have weaponized our intelligence community, judges and distinct attorneys.
But the cat is out of the bag.
YouTube shows all the flying cars in the works, EVTOL.
We will be able to live anywhere we want and not have to live with and subsidize the feral kids
of illiterate illegal aliens, refugees and single Moms.
Individuals now can create a 3D print file and have people from all around the world download
and print it. There are many online places to sell your 3D print file.
https://www.etsy.com/search?q=3d%20print%20file&ref=auto-1&as_prefix=3
You don’t need hundreds of people in a manufacturing plant.
Yesterday I saw a 3D print of a full sized car on Facebook.
