Lots of us are enchanted by the pint-sized charm of small dogs, but have you ever been caught off guard by their unexpected nibbles?
As a former vet tech, I’ve totally had my fair share of interactions with these pocket rockets of personality.
So, if you’ve ever felt like you need a secret decoder ring to understand why your mini-mutt occasionally thinks fingers are gourmet treats, stay tuned as I round up a list of small dogs that bite, together with a bunch of useful information on how you can handle it.

Oh, well, you haven’t had the blessing of meeting our small breed dog.
He not only follows Sit, Stay, come, No, Drink Water, All done (sign language) ... but, he also behaves like a true gentleman and lets ladies enter through the door first, AND, has a specialized bark for the tea kettle alert, if we’re on the other side of the house.

That’s great, glad to hear it! A well-trained dog is usually a much happier dog, as well as making the humans around it happier. Obviously, it’s possible or there wouldn’t be small breed animal acts and showbiz dogs. But I would still hazard that such a condition is much rarer in the small breeds, due to human nature.

We have a Chihuahua and yes if we had not raised her to be nice she would definitely have turned into a tiny terror. As it is she dominates every other dog she meets. 😄
A well behaved pet is a pleasure to be around.
