Hate to admit it...but I like a bit of Vegemite...if one doesn’t think it is chocolate frosting before one eats it..but a salty extract of the yeast that is used to make beer...it’s not too bad...IMHO

Actually, if one checks the of ingredients in many food products . Yeast extract is one of them. Vegemite has the “umami” flavor...
Gotta admit, sausage gravy on grits sounds delicious

On a UK thread, I saw an interesting comment. The poster said "marmite topped with shaving cream looks exactly like a glass of Guinness and has the advantage of tasting better". Clearly not a fan of Guinness.
