JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Advocates who have fought for the restoration of voting rights for Floridians with past felony convictions are crying foul after Governor Ron DeSantis promised former President Donald Trump would be allowed to vote in the November election.
If Trump loses the right to vote, DeSantis said, “This would be an easy case to qualify for restoration of rights per the Florida Clemency Board, which I chair”.

Moral relativism is the only set principle the left believes in.
If you break the law, your decision has consequences and one of them is the right to vote. The appeal process is there so wrongly convicted people can clear their conviction. Until that happens, your actions voided your right to vote.
Yeah, lots of good things to say about Florida under a DeSantis regime. But, remember how narrow his margin of victory over Andrew Gillum was.

That was because of a couple of left wing activist election supervisors in South Florida.......Governor DeSantis immediately fixed that and put ‘em in the unemployment line.
The Democrats had never met a convicted felon they didn’t want to drop to their knees and fellate until Trump became one. And now it’s “Convicted felon!!! Throw the book at him!!!”

Also in 2022 Governor DeSantis won in a landslide against Crist.
The reason trump can vote in Florida is because New York only specifies that you only lose the right to vote if you are literally in prison. I’d think you be glad trump can vote in Florida. I am.
I am too,, which is why I mentioned the appeal process. The Trump conviction will never stand an appeal process.
