After the NY travesty I finally broke down and contributed to Trump, I was not going to because of exactly what you are concerned about. I have had to text “Stop” about 300 times since Friday. At first I was getting 20 texts from campaigns every hour, I’ve got it down to about 5 a day now.
Frankly it’s abuse, and the campaigns better stop this practice or no one will give to them…they’re like piranhas. Wish they were that dedicated to fighting the fascist Democrats.

I’ve never be registered w the GOP and now absolutely will not because of the way they treat my phone and email addresses, some of which I have no idea how they got.
I’d pay $1000 for them to stop spamming me but no that’s impossible.
Those “STOPs” you give them do not stop them from using another number for the same group or candidate, or that same number for a different group or candidate.
The same is true for email spam.
The entire GOP apparatus is incredibly corrupt.

I haven’t given in about two years, and I still get no less than four spam texts, with up to 18 a day.
Sadly, the same is true for my wife, who gave to far fewer candidates.
I have replied “STOP” many, many hundreds of times. I now usually just block the number, instead, but there are many millions of temporarily available phone numbers, to use for a day, from which to spam and call.
Well said. Consider how many first time donors are going to start getting all that spam that we’ve been getting when previously they weren’t getting any political spam. Some of them will be so disgusted, they will end up not voting at all.
