Why wouldn't Judge Juan Merchan finish the job and add to the left's glee in calling Donald Trump a "convicted felon" by sentencing him to jail? That fact that Trump's sentencing is on July 11, mere days before the Republican National Convention, would not impede a judge who, according to Trump attorney Alina Habba, covered his mouth to laugh during his sentencing. It would be no impediment to the hand-picked jurist who allowed prosecutors to hide the underlying "crime" for the entire trial, hide witnesses, and overrule the majority of the defense objections in this goat rodeo.
What would stop him from jailing Trump?
The case has horrified believers in the rule of law, without which you cannot have a civil society. It has horrified people who barely paid attention to the trial but gave this judge the benefit of the doubt. Tens of millions of Americans know that this trumped-up case means prosecutors wouldn't hesitate to do the same to them.
Nobody is above the law, but Donald Trump is under it, as has been stated a lot recently with good reason.
Obama's former Svengali, David Axelrod, told HBO's Bill Maher that he didn't think it was a wise idea to put Trump in jail because "it would be worrisome for our country" and "MAGA nation would go nuts."
"I think there is something about jailing a former president, especially on something like this [and] worrisome for our country," he gamely said. "And I would really be shocked if this judge gave him a prison sentence for this." We'll wait for Axelrod's look of surprise when Trump is sentenced to jail.

At some point, not complying is the right thing to do....Criminals are putting innocent people in jail....why are we going along with it?
They got Trump for improper documentation of legal payments and loan appraisials. Wow. That Trump is a real criminal.

I have been assuming the whole time he’d have to deliver the convention speech from prison. If they dont imprison him it’s only because they think forcing him to check in with a parole officer before each campaign stop is more beneficial for Bideñ’s campaign. In thie scenario they claim he brok3 parole in October and he can’t campaign down the stretch.
All bets may already be off.
If all bets were already off, you’d see a lot more news headlines.
And only Trump is willing to sacrifice to save it. In times past there was an entire generation willing to step forward. Probably no turning back.

They took a misdemeanor and converted it into 34 federal counts. Totally illegal to say the least but the hate is strong in them which is why they are going to put him in Rikers prison. They do not care about the law, except the law they make up as they go. Consequences be dammed because their hate is more important.
The Supreme Court MUST hear about this Soviet Style Trial of Trump.

You know what is incredibly crazy? It’s absolutely insane that Americans have let it get this far.
Bets should of been off long ago, but better late than never.
Cowardice. No one will support you. J6ers have been completely abandoned and all they did was protest. No one had organized a militia to free them. No one wants to step out and be left holding the bag. You basically need a leader of the resistance, someone who can organize protest, assaults etc. No one is in this frame of mind. I don’t even think anyone is actually capable of doing anything.
Is that an administrative function? Wouldn’t a law have to be passed by a legislature to convert a misdemeanor into a felony?
Who or what jurisdiction initially decides what violations of the law (written) are felonies, what are misdemeanors, etc.?
Surely there is something in writing for the police to follow before making an arrest for any violation?
If not, society is lawless.

The so-called right's failure to actually do anything to stop it indicates that they're in on it. They are not representative of the American people.
I am no expert, but putting him in jail as the presumptive nominee seems it would give the USSC an immediate chance to jump in.
