If SCOTUS throws out the Trump conviction in "The People of the State of New York v. Donald J. Trump (IND-71543-23)," are you suggesting that New York will simply issue an arrest warrant for Trump in violation of his conviction or something in defiance of SCOTUS?

At this point, nothing would surprise me.

A 6-3 ruling in favor of Trump? They'll just argue that three of the justices are illegitimate because Trump, a now convicted felon, put them on the bench and that Alito flew a Trump flag or something so he's out and the ruling is actually 2-3. "Conviction stands!"

You know, because we've got to save democracy or something.

I know what you mean.

The guy who gave a dark speech under a red spotlight flanked by two marines in dress uniforms who's overseeing the invasion of the United States by foreigners from all the countries of the world illegally entering across our border while arming our terrorist enemies in Iran, Gaza, and Afghanistan after draining our strategic petroleum reserves and canceling our pipelines and new drilling resulting in extreme inflation, supply shortages in food and baby formula who then wants to stack the Supreme Court with his own judges and jail his leading opponent for being a "dictator" because he's pointing all this out and wants to fix is doing it all to "save Democracy" or something?

Worst case scenario: the Supreme Court finally considers the appeal in 2026 or 2027 and decides on narrow grounds that Trump did not get due process because the former FEC head was not allowed to testify, so he can be released from serving his 136-year sentence on bond while the court in Manhattan re-hears the trial on the same charges. (That’s if he hasn’t been killed in prison by then.)
