Rules for backups.- Make backups often.
- Then make copies of the backups on some other local storage for fast recovery.
- Then make copies of the backups in a different physical location for disaster recovery.
- And then keep them all updated whenever the source data changes.
So, when was the last time you did even the first level of backup? Eh?

I actually took part in a disaster recovery drill where we rebuilt our data center at an offsite location. It didn’t go that well for me, as the tape drive hardware we were given to use was different from ours, and they didn’t have the drivers. Whoops.
