Many folks don’t have thousands of dollars to spend saving their beloved pet.

Some folks might realize that it might be kinder to euthanize a pet you can longer care for, and that because of its age and/or medical issues will never stand a chance of being adopted and won’t get decent care at a shelter.

I have come to the realization the last few years that there’s a Big Vet to go along with Big Med.

And ethical veterinary practioners, especially in corporate owned practices, are as hard to find as a decent doc in a human health system.

I understand and agree.
Most of the clinics are corporate these days - the care is not there. Fortunately there are a few old school vets in our county.
And my earlier remark was inspired by a local case in which the owner was vegan and thought the dog should be vegan also.
