Beavers have to do the same thing. Most rodents, IIRC.

Which reminds me ... I recently ran across an article on How To: Eat a Beaver. I feel that it is a moral imperative that I share it with the wonderful folks of FR. It is, the author claims, clean and sweet-smelling.
