The contemporary Libertarian Party is sad.
I think a lot of us are generally in favor of smaller government, and maybe even OK with many of Rand Paul’s positions...but the the Lib Party has apparently taken on Antifa-style anarchists and pedophiles wanting to eliminate the laws protecting children.
I’m guessing these are the ones booing President Trump.
I did research into the Libertarian party in my early days on FR. They’ve always been pro-libertinism, lowering the age of consent, open borders, legalizing all drug use, all porn no matter how nasty and cruel, etc. It’s not new at all. They hid it for a while, is all.
Nothing new. About 25 years ago, there was a Libertarian governor candidate in NY who wanted to legalize beastiality. That was his whole platform.
