I did research into the Libertarian party in my early days on FR. They’ve always been pro-libertinism, lowering the age of consent, open borders, legalizing all drug use, all porn no matter how nasty and cruel, etc. It’s not new at all. They hid it for a while, is all.

A way back when, I went to a Libertarian conflab in Tallahassee... They gave me a questionnaire with maybe two dozen questions. I had identified myself as a Christian. As I remember, all of the questions were in the vein of: Would you pass laws prohibiting blah blah blah?
I answered 'No' to all of them. They were stunned and gleefully declared: You are a Libertarian! I saw then that their focus was singular and misguided. Passing morality laws is just an incentive to be rebellious to those prone to rebellion.
OTOH, the Christian life is purely voluntary, springing from a heart that wants a good and productive life for all who will...
