🇸🇦 🇺🇸 Saudi Arabia’s 50-year-old petrodollar agreement with the United States has expired, with no new agreement in place.
Saudi Arabia will now sell oil in multiple currencies, including the Chinese RMB, Euros, Yen, and Yuan, instead of exclusively in US dollars.

Sovereignty is a gritch.
The causes and effects of US policy on other nations concerning the dollar and its uses internationally are not discussed in the US.
The consequences for BRICS and for the USA will be argued in an election year, but only at high pitch in the usual 2 Party food fight.
Flogging differences will be the American media echo chamber, confined to Dems and Republicans.
We’re probably not about to be allowed to even hear from the principals in BRICS, who probably believe they have simply leveled the trading field for other currencies. Their own being included.
No message but our message is ever heard. Suppressing international news, issues and even grievances and prohibiting international hearings needs to stop if we don’t want to be completely isolated.
The USA is outside of the BRICS world’s energetic conversation, thanks to the Leftists slander and propaganda against everyone else, outside of the West.
We must be the dumbest nation on earth among the developed world, on the concerns of any nation who is not us. Things aren’t right, if that stays true.
The “myth” was that they sacrificed girls. They’re still pikers in relation to the Aztecs. The ~1500 conquistadors had about 200,000 native allies composed of tribes fed up with being harvested by them for sacrifice.
Another interesting tidbit I learned recently is that root of their (Aztec) defeat in conflict with Spaniards was due to their ingrained habit of trying to just knock an enemy unconscious. You needed live enemies for the altars. Between body armor and wearers actually trying to kill opponents the outcome was pretty lopsided.
