This is quite true but Congress cares little about We the People or the Constitution.
They say the words because they have to.
They only care about the continuity of their grift, Congress and its “perqs”.
They expect US to financially support them by providing an open checkbook.
They only work to preserve the Democrat institutions established since 1960 because that is - to them - how government is done.

I truly doubt any of us would expect them to abandon their grift for the likes of us.
