Never debate a leftist or wrestle with a pig. Better to debate with the pig....
Taken together, Trump’s visit to the Bronx and the Libertarian convention, mark a turning point or new chapter in the campaign. And the only competitor is Biden who had a dozen or so attendees at a New Hampshire event, who turned down an invite to speak at the Libertarian convention, and who bumbled a West Point graduation address. Instead, Trump is in the middle of it, point-by-point taking on the questions that should be important to everyone.
It’s why two people look at a picture and one sees art and the other sees garbage. Not only do people come to different conclusions from their life experiences, they come convinced that Truth has finally been discovered and it’s theirs. And nothing you can say can convince them differently.
So all you can say is thank goodness we live in a republic where we can each attempt to convince more voters than the other can that the voters would get some personal advantage by temporarily taking up our view of the world rather than the view of the other.
Vote Trump!
By the way, MtnClimber, great article. Thanks for posting.

Kimball’s back-and-forth with his friend illustrates the futility of trying to reason with someone afflicted with TDS.
“ Trump’s two biggest liabilities, in my view, were incontinent spending and poor personnel choices.“
Well yes and no. Almost anybody Trump nominated or appointed who would take the job likely was to some degree approachable by the Deep State. As far as spending, if you want to actually accomplish anything outside of spending and in the face of the malestrom of hate directed at Trump 24/7/365 you DO NOT put the spending chip on the table.
In order to accomplish anything on cutting spending it has to stand alone (or more likely be done after a destroying crash).
The only line worth reading in this long column: “that he has been so effectively demonized.” Trump has been smeared 7x24 for almost a decade now. Not to mention his friend in London is repeating left wing talking points like a trained parrot. He might have pointed that out as well.
Roger Kimbal wrote a good article. However, he still missed the point of the Trump Bronx speech.
Trump was speaking in the Bronx as a New Yorker, a favorite son.
