I have entered many military bases in my engineering career. I observed many vulnerabilities to terrorist attack. I don’t want to say what they were, but they are still there. I am not even sure the entrance guards even had ammo in their guns.

Troops not being allowed to carry loaded/unloaded firearms is nothing new and has been a standard practice for decades.
The only time I know for certain they could be carried is in a war zone. When I was in a war zone I carried my weapon 24/7 with a full magazine. At night it was in my wall locker or beside me. The only weapon of mine they locked up when not needed was my M60.
We have an airbase a few miles off where we shop at the commissary. IMO security their security is pretty good. You’ve got to be ID’d just to get on base. The gate has obstacles so one has to slowly zig zag to get in.

Actor James Woods encountered a situation on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles that raised suspicions. Approximately a month before the September 11 attacks, Woods observed four men of apparent Middle Eastern origin acting strangely during the flight.
According to reports, these men did not eat, drink, read, or sleep throughout the entire cross-country journey. Instead, they remained upright in their seats, occasionally conversing in low tones.
Woods reported his observations to a flight attendant, who unfortunately shrugged off his concerns. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, he informed airport authorities, but they also seemed unwilling to become involved. While Woods noticed unusual behavior and did report it, some of the initial news reports contained inaccuracies regarding the timing and details of his actions.
The events surrounding the 9/11 attacks prompted significant soul-searching and discussions about signs that were noticed but not adequately heeded. Unfortunately, in this case, the suspicious behavior Woods observed did not lead to preventive measures before the tragic events unfolded.
Obama & Biden should have been put in situations where there was suspicious activity long enough to get a taste of the possible danger.
