“It’s a superb institution”

Lost me right there.

Kaiser is the bottom of the barrel.

I almost always know more about my condition and the medicine around it than my doc.

My doc is gay, fat, and a dunce. He mixed up my left and right shoulder, for example, when attempting to treat it.

Kaiser took over Group Health in WA, formerly known as “Group Death”.

Employees are consistently skill free DEI hires.

The list goes on and on.

Have had Kaiser Permanente for a half dozen years or so.

Have had no less than 4 primary doctors...because they all quit and go on somewhere else?

Last Fall I had prostate surgery...the laser method. Only one surgeon in the entire D.C. Region performed the procedure and when I saw him for the first time the morning of the surgery...he looked like Doogie Houser's younger brother!!

He was excellent! Everyone from the first person who signed me in at the desk was superb.

Only person who pissed me off was the anesthesiologist who 'lied' to me that she wouldn't put the tube down my throat into my lungs.

Overall, was so satisfied, during the follow-up appointment with the surgeon I teased him that he could use me in a TV commercial for Kaiser!

My parents are with Kaiser, part of their retirement.

My father began coughing incessantly about 6 months ago.

2 months ago Kaiser replaced his CPAP machine without explanation.

2 weeks ago, my mother caught one of those ambulance chasing commercials about the Philips defects and recalls. I knew nothing about all of this until talking to my mother on Mother’s Day.

He has more doctor appointments about his lungs next week...with Kaiser. Previous appointments have been inconclusive and rather uninformative.

Needless to say, I’m now fishing for a good attorney.

I research everything my medicare doc says and find other ways of doing things. So far I don’t take any prescription dugs and I have a fair complement of the crotchets of old age which I deal with satisfactorily in other ways. It costs more because Medicare doesn’t pay for curcumin and saw palmetto and such but I avoid “side effects” and stay in good shape.

“Kaiser is the bottom of the barrel.”

We had Kaiser in HI and CA, and were very happy with it. When we decided to move to the SE, we seriously considered GA because you can get Kaiser there. All people have different experiences in their lives, though.
