Cause of death is listed as CARDIOPULMONARY ARREST COMPLICATING LAW ENFORCEMENT SUBDUAL, RESTRAINT, AND NECK COMPRESSION

I would read that line again carefully. It says "complicating law enforcement... restraint." It doesn't say that law enforcement caused Floyd's death.

The quote you cite: "...the law enforcement, subdual restraint, and the neck compression was just more than Mr. Floyd could take by virtue of those heart conditions..." describes, in my opinion, a dead man walking. It was more than just "heart conditions," it was also marijuana, methamphetamines, morphine and fentanyl.

The report documents:

A simple wikipedia search of Fentanyl yields this:

Fentanyl poses an exceptionally high overdose risk in humans, since the amount required to cause toxicity is unpredictable. In its pharmaceutical form most overdose deaths attributed solely to fentanyl occur at serum concentrations at a mean of 0.025 μg/mL, with a range 0.005–0.027 μg/mL. In contexts of poly-substance use, blood fentanyl concentrations of approximately 7 ng/mL or greater have been associated with fatalities. Over 85% of overdoses involved at least one other drug, and there was no clear correlation showing at which level the mixtures were fatal. The dosages of fatal mixtures varied by over three magnitudes in some cases. This extremely unpredictable volatility with other drugs makes it especially difficult to avoid fatalities.
Regarding adverse affects of Fentanyl:

Respiratory depression

The most dangerous adverse effect of fentanyl is respiratory depression, that is, decreased sensitivity to carbon dioxide leading to reduced rate of breathing, which can cause anoxic brain injury or death.

Other factors that increase the risk of respiratory depression are:

Facts:

  1. Floyd had COVID-19.
  2. Floyd had 57% more Fentanyl in his blood than the fatal limit.
  3. Floyd had three other drugs in his system: THC, Methamphetamine, and Morphine.
All the armchair toxicology experts have to conclude that Floyd had some serious drug interactions going on that, coupled with the lingering effects of COVID-19, were causing his exclamations of "I can't breathe" long before he was subdued and restrained by the police.

To me, this is a classic case of the law school hypothetical that if Floyd jumped off the roof of a building and was shot through a window on his way down, did the shooter commit murder or did Floyd kill himself by jumping but the inevitable death just hadn't occurred yet?

I'm not a doctor, but I don't think Floyd was on track for a Keith Moon type landing with 57% more Fentanyl in his blood than the lethal dose plus meth, pot, and morphine. Chauvin just got in the way while Floyd was dying from his own overdose.

Thanks for a cogent reply.

As I wrote elsewhere, Moonie and Nikki Sixx took a ton of drugs and booze. Their escapades would have killed mere mortals. And yet Nikki is still alive and before Moonie succumbed to Hemineverin/an anti-alcoholism drug (ironically) he set the record for living after overindulgence.

Many people are saying Floyd OD’d. They base that on the level of drugs in Floyd’s body. What they aren’t considering is Floyd’s ability to be Nikki Sixx. Parenthetically, just copying and pasting cherry-picked elements of the autopsy - claiming “If not for 𝕏, you’d probably never see this” when the whole autopsy is available online - makes us look stoopid.

Do I know for certain that Floyd had Keith Moon-like capacity to live thru a bender? No. But it is plausible. In fact looking at this guys life of arrests, non-achievement, and being a general loser, etc., I’d say being high WAS his profession.

Maybe he would have tapped out in custody from a drug overdose. We will never know because an incompetent cop could not deploy a move to restrain his suspect without him dying in custody of a heart attack.

I’ll say it again: this saga is a gift for the jar-shakers. They couldn’t have asked for a better crisis of which to take advantage.

The left digs in and canonizes their loser, and the right digs in and champions their loser. The result is leftist riots, destruction of property and a thinning of police ranks. In addition we get DAs that let crime run amok. On our side, we have people STILL saying “Free Chauvin” and looking equally dopey.

I think the left looks worse in the end. However, the ants were still fighting, which is what They want.

As I posted elsewhere, there is hope that the pendulum is swinging back with DAs getting voted out, liberals complaining about crime, and conservatives looking at J6 and talking like civil rightists from the 60s.
