TRUMP TAKES THE BRONX. It would be an understatement to say that official New York — that is, Democratic officials in New York — was hostile to former President Donald Trump holding a campaign rally in the Bronx. They hated it. They really hated it.
When Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) was asked on CNN about Trump’s effort to appeal to Hispanic and black voters, two critical parts of the Democratic coalition, she replied: “I’ll tell you what won’t make a difference at all … and that’s for Donald Trump to be a ringleader and invite all his clowns to a place like the Bronx.” Hochul called the Trump event a “made-up, fake rally” in which Trump was “pretending there’s support here.” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who represents a district near Crotona Park, where Trump held the rally Thursday evening, said, “He’s doing it in the South Bronx, not to make a point, but because he’s got court, and the man practically has the legal version of an ankle bracelet around him, and he can’t leave the five boroughs because he always has to be in court — and so it is truly an embarrassment to him.”
So the message of the Democratic establishment, by far the most dominant political force in New York, was: “We hate you. Stay out.” But the message of the thousands of New Yorkers who showed up for Trump’s rally was: “We love you. Come back.”
How many thousands? That’s always a question at Trump rallies. Trump says they are huge, and his detractors say he’s making it up. In fact, Trump rallies are almost always far bigger than anyone else’s, sometimes by multiples. The writer claims 45 won’t won NY. How about this: Trump rolls up his sleeves and campaigns hard for the state and we’ll see what happens? It’s called fighting for something. When 45 said in the Bronx yesterday “...OUR city...” that was very powerful. Trump is only down 9 in NY in latest rcp-cited NY poll. I hope he shocks the world.

I was at the rally last night- it was unbelievable!! Fox said 25,000 when you consider the rally grounds, which were small, the people at the bottom of the hill listening and the people listening on the side streets.
If they want to talk about diversity, all they need to do is look at the crowd. I took a picture with one black guy who had a t-shirt with DJT’s picture on it that read, “DONALD TRUMP WAS RIGHT- ABOUT EVERYTHING!!”
There was a black couple who got there super early and were pressed against the stage. The woman had a shirt that read “ULTRA MAGA!!”
The south Bronx was literally Trump country last night. All Trumpsters walking to the subway. When i got on the platform waiting for the train there were a half dozen people there with shirts the read “Puerto Ricans for Trump!!” Across was a middle aged black couple with a big sign that said “NY is Trump Country!!”
At the rally yesterday there were two black ladies standing next to me. A reporter and cameraman come up to them, stick a microphone in the face of one lady and starting asking questions. She basically said, “I’m a lifelong democrat and voted for biden four years ago which i regret. Biden doesn’t care about anyone but himself. Trump wants to help the whole country which is why I’m here to support him!!”
We ask the reporter where she’s from- she says “NBC” and we start razing her but good. She says, “oh no...I’m independent!!”
I watched the local 11PM NBC news, which i never do, to see if they showed any of the interview with the girl- and of course they did not. But the report on the rally, while mostly positive, kept questioning how many of the rally goers were actually from the Bronx. They interview a pro Trump rally goer- a black guy who’s not from the Bronx- he’s from Brooklyn!!
They then show a group of counter protestors that were on the other side of the park- less than a dozen and all pasty white liberals. Of course at no point in time did the report question how many of the less than a dozen, oasty white counter protestors on hand were from the Bronx!!!
BTW- here’s why i believe DJT has a good chance to win NY:
1- his percentage of votes in the 5 boroughs is going to be WAY up..
2- many people in the five boroughs are just not going to vote...they can’t vote for DJT and they won’t vote for zhao biden.

I suspect the more likely scenario is to put it in play and force the Dems to spend a lot of money to hang on to NY (and other typically blue states).
