“Is he a bad texter, or is he over 35?”
Elizabeth Castaldi, a popular US creator, has sparked a viral discussion about the generation gap in texting when it comes to dating.
Castaldi, 27, recently went on a date with a 35-year-old man and she was baffled by the text he sent her the next day.
“Hey, had fun last night. Have a good day,” the man texted.
Then, in true Generation Z fashion, Castaldi took that private message, screenshotted it and posted it online, where it has amassed more than 500,000 views.
She added the caption: “I have to start dating people my own age. But I won’t.”
Castaldi’s confusion at the text message firmly divided the comment section.
Some thought she was being accurate and he was texting like a millennial, while others thought she was being unfair and the text she received wasn’t out of the ordinary.
“I’m confused how is this bad?” one person asked.
Castaldi replied that she didn’t have the “ick” by his formal text message, but his millennial texting style made her unable to tell if he wanted to see her again.
“Let’s be clear, I do not have the ick. I just can’t read him and I really, really want to go on a second date,” she wrote.
Someone else replied and said the problem with the 35-year-old’s text is that it was too sterile.

Read 'Have a good day' in a up-beat manner. I thought it sounded positive. He could have said "Have a great day" but he might have thought it was excessive.
It sounds to me like he was being sincere but he didn't want to appear to be coming on too strong.
She should give this guy a second chance.

You’re CORRECT; humanity is losing it’s HUMANITY, due to the overuse of machines! They younger people don’t have much human contact, which allows people to understand each other, by tone of voice and inflection, as well facial reactions.

I believe I figured out the word "ICK".
I believe it means, reading his text, she didn't get an 'icky' feeling like he's a creep. So she don't believe he's a creep but she doesn't know how to interrupt his full text.
I think she likes this guy but she's looking for other people to confirm her feelings.
Women of all ages need to be reminded constantly of a dating fundamental - if a man wants to date you/see you, he will find a way and make it happen. There will be no confusion or ambiguity. If he doesn’t ask for and plan the next date, you have your answer as to his intentions.
Also - stop chasing after/brooding over men who are giving you tepid/not that interested energy. Have some self respect and move along.

The use of the word anti as in anti-Christ or anti-Christian means "over against, opposite, instead of". Those who are not in Christ are in/into something else. "Instead of Christ" I believe (fill in the blank). Anti-Christian doesn't necessarily mean a person hates Christians or Christ (although many do). It simply means that a person adheres to a belief, someone or something other than Christ - rejecting Christ as Messiah, the Son of God.
