of course, being an official portrait painted by a selected artist... i would expect something much more elegant.

I was going to say high school, maybe. It might have helped if she had posed live so the artist would at least know what she looks like, instead of trying to capture her soul or whatever.

Its not bad. Catches the essence that this whole concept of hereditary royals in the 21st century is absurd. Minus all the glitz, glamor, makeup, politically correct speech and photo ops, Kate just might be a plain Jane ordinary human being.
