I just turn mine off and wrap it in aluminum foil. Simple.
Hey Girl! Say you’re out to lunch with the ladies and you remember you need to make a call. Pulling your foil-wrapped phone out of your purse and unwrapping it is not going to impress your friends - it might/should worry them. Trust me.

Search Amazon or wherever for “cell phone faraday bag”. $8 to $12 to $more but easily elegant and functional.
I’d get the clutch purse style where you just open a large flap for easy in/out access not the end of bag style even though I’m a guy.
