I read an article many years ago, before internet, that a man had severe poison ivy allergy.
A Native American Indian friend of his gave him something to eat and told him it would cure him of his allergy.
It apparently worked.
He asked his friend what it was that he ate and his friend told him “Poison Ivy”...................
