With an unapologetically anarchic spirit, we’ve defied the establishment by assembling a lineup of speakers who challenge the status quo and champion true freedom. We’re lining up promotions that symbolize our rejection of government control, offering attendees a taste of defiance. The debates, a battleground for radical ideas, will ignite the flames of rebellion in every heart present. And as the establishment trembles, we’ll raise a defiant toast at the reception for our chosen presidential and vice-presidential candidates, heralding the dawn of a new era of individual autonomy and liberty. This convention will stand as a testament to the indomitable spirit of libertarianism, ready to shatter the chains of oppression.Libert
Join us for a historic moment at the 2024 Libertarian National Convention as we welcome former President Donald J. Trump to the podium. This momentous occasion will mark the first time a former President directly addresses our members, candidates, and executive committee. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear insights from a prominent figure in American politics and watch him engage with Libertarian ideals.
I’ll never understand why people feel the need to form ineffective political cliques. Libertarians are going absolutely nowhere. Fast.
The short version of the LP platform on immigration.
“3.4 Free Trade and Migration
We support the removal of governmental impediments to free trade. Political freedom and escape from tyranny demand that individuals not be unreasonably constrained by government in the crossing of political boundaries. Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human as well as financial capital across national borders.”

“Libertarian position on Immigration
COMPLETE PLATFORM TEXT
INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS AND CIVIL ORDER
IMMIGRATION:
“”The Issue: We welcome all refugees to our country and condemn the efforts of U.S. officials to create a new “Berlin Wall” which would keep them captive. We condemn the U.S. government’s policy of barring those refugees from our country and preventing Americans from assisting their passage to help them escape tyranny or improve their economic prospects.
The Principle: We hold that human rights should not be denied or abridged on the basis of nationality. Undocumented non-citizens should not be denied the fundamental freedom to labor and to move about unmolested. Furthermore, immigration must not be restricted for reasons of race, religion, political creed, age or sexual preference. We oppose government welfare and resettlement payments to non-citizens just as we oppose government welfare payments to all other persons.
Solutions: We condemn massive roundups of Hispanic Americans and others by the federal government in its hunt for individuals not possessing required government documents. We strongly oppose all measures that punish employers who hire undocumented workers. Such measures repress free enterprise, harass workers, and systematically discourage employers from hiring Hispanics.
Transitional Action: We call for the elimination of all restrictions on immigration, the abolition of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Border Patrol, and a declaration of full amnesty for all people who have entered the country illegally.””
I think it’s because they feel they have no place in the two major political parties. And perhaps don’t care which of the two major parties wins elections.
I’m sure they know they are not going to win elections. They want to make their political statement and political views known.
Independents are 47% of the electorate now, with the two fringe parties GOP and Democrats at 27%.
It doesn’t matter what policies are. There is $36T in debt and nothing can be done on any policies.
All that matters is upheaval of the political class — Drain the Swamp, and Build the Wall. It doesn’t matter what policy position Libertarians might have. They are not part of the two-parties-of-$36T so they are ascendant.
There is a Swamp signal. It is someone who says they are voting to cut $5B — “because it’s a good start”. No, it is not a good start. There is $36T and there is only $36T. There is no start. It is an end.
Bears repeating.
As the great prophet Jim Morrison of the Doors said: "...my only FRiend: THE END"
I’m losing interest in who wins elections.
Doesn’t matter which party is in power. Little changes. Socialism marches on. Corruption becomes more rampant.
Twice we have given the Republicans the House, the Senate, the Presidency and most of the Supreme Court.
What did they do with that power?
Nothing that they campaigned or fund raised on.
Threw it away as fast as they could.
Libertarians are right about numerous things, largely economic issues, but they do not understand culture and its importance. They’ve made an ideological fetish of liberty.
Then find a party that supports limited government and help build it.
Are you sure this is their current position?
The LP got taken over by Mises faction and a lot of policies have changed
You didn’t provide a date or link for this policy on immigration so I need to see that
They quit posting the full text version years ago and this is all they will say since.

Maybe the libertarian supporters like their party’s position on pedophilia.
Many of their policies have changed. You need to ensure your info is up to date or current otherwise you could be misrepresenting them
The “old” LP guard were quite liberal the “new” people not so much.
The LP is becoming ascendant?
What portion of the Presidential vote will they take this time?
I have posted their 2024 platform statement on immigration twice, why do you keep ignoring it?
Where is the link
It is a party platform, you can look it up.
You’re citing material so give us the link
As I told you many of their policies have changed
This is simply the party platform, you defend them and promote them, you can surely take a look at their platform.
Only a madman would take these liberTARDian fools seriously.
