Mind sharing a bit of what hardware you have? Do you by chance happen to have a second SSD?(or hard drive)
After knowing what hardware you have, the first step is to test a live boot using a USB thumb drive. These are non-destructive of your personal data.

I have been using Linux with a virtual Windows install since 2007. I use multiple screens on one monitor and screen 4 is always Windoze. It loads automatically on system startup.
The other option is a dual boot system where you select Linux or Windoze on boot.
