With a traumatizing upbringing like that, I expect the kid to turn his life around and become a rap star — or die trying.

I wish I could go to that woman & explain to her that I probably never won any awards as a kid & it could be that I never had any coming. My mom never put on an act like this one did either. If she had, I might still be trying to hide ever time the sun came up. I guess I never got any awards because there were only so many & maybe I wasn’t that outstanding. I never made Honor Society either.
