I’m partial to “Monterey” because that’s where I was born. Dad was attending the Naval Post-Graduate School at the time.

“Sky Pilot” was a patriotic song? I thought it was a critique of military chaplains who supported unjust wars. (”You’ll never, never, never reach the sky.” In other words, you will never go to Heaven.)

Sky pilot was an anti-war anthem. Many radio stations refused to play it as it was considered unpatriotic.
