A “plus-size” travel influencer claimed a Washington airport worker refused to push her in a wheelchair up the jet bridge because of her size, which left her gasping for air when she was forced to walk off the plane.
Jae’lynn Chaney, 27, revealed on TikTok that she requested “wheelchair assistance” during her trip to Sea-Tac International Airport in Washington.
“I’m a plus-size wheelchair user and on a recent flight to the Sea-Tac airport, I requested wheelchair assistance, as I always do,” a narrator said on Chaney’s post. “When it came time for me to deplane, I saw the employee who would be assisting me with my wheelchair waiting for me in the entry of the jet bridge.”
The influencer, who has amassed over 135,500 followers on the platform, claimed the employee started walking away from the plane when she saw the traveler deboard the plane.
“As I approached her and she realized she’d be assisting me and not one of the smaller passengers she started to walk away with the wheelchair while making comments about my size,” Chaney claimed.
Chaney, who can walk, allegedly told the employee she needed the chair but was “blatantly ignored,” forcing her to walk up “one of the longest jet bridges I’ve encountered.”
The long walk took a lot of energy out of the influencer, and she claimed she nearly fainted.
“By the time she let me reach the wheelchair and sit down my lips were white, my oxygen levels had dropped, and I almost fainted,” Chaney recalled.

Not much.
I’d say she’d be lucky 🍀 to see 30.
if your fatazz can’t walk, what makes you think somebody 1/4 your size can push you???
It seems possible that this “influencer” is an attention-seeking narcissist.
Exactly, and she needs to stop eating junk food, stop feeling sorry for herself and start eating healthier.
So, who took the picture of her from behind looking up the ramp... ?
That’s obviously correct.
Look, I totally understand that not everyone is in great shape with many needing to shed a few pounds, but it is hard for me to wrap my head around people literally eating themselves to death.
I was at 215 and had a free soft drink fountain at work, eliminated the soft drinks and just went with water and sometime juice, lost 50 lbs. in a year.
“To the surprise to nobody, the “healthy at any size” movement has been funded in large part by Unilever, the nation’s number one producer of ice cream.”
Is that real?
I notice she's using supplemental oxygen. This situation can become a death spiral. Not exercising leads to getting fat. Being fat leads to not exercising. Not exercising leads to getting fatter. Etc.
Having "enablers" in your life only makes it worse.
So..
She COULD and DID stand and WALK. She just did not Want to.
We were seated apart on a flight (cheaper tickets for not sitting together). I overheard a woman say, when she saw my son heading for the empty middle seat next to her, "Oh, thank God, it's the skinny guy!"
Why isn’t she using a mobility scooter to begin with?
I’ll tell you why, because if she did she wouldn’t have a grievance...and she wouldn’t have content for her stupid blog.
That and some people aren’t happy unless they’re bitching about something.
Sixteen tons, whadd’ya get?
Her.
I want to take her to Bangladesh for a year to work on a rice farm
She would come back a new person.
She will have won a lottery if she makes it to 45 years of age.
Her future is bedridden if she doesn’t start turning things around now.
My sister found out that her overweightness and pop has caused her kidneys to only be half-functional. She’s trying to do things now.
“but it is hard for me to wrap my head around people literally eating themselves to death.”
And advocating it and being proud of it!!
From the picture it looks like the mask makes her look morbidly obese...or maybe the camera angle...or the lighting.
