Video shows the teen displaying his handgun to the camera before pointing it at his head and pulling the trigger.
On Thursday, 17-year-old Virginia-based rapper Rylo Huncho fatally shot himself while filming a TitTok video.
In the video posted to his Instagram stories, Huncho was seen flipping the barrel of a handgun and holding it by the grip to show off the flashlight with a built-in laser sight. He then grabbed the grip, turned the gun towards his head, and said, "F**k Y'all N*****s" while pulling the trigger.
In a GoFundMe set up by Hucho's cousin, she explained that "Suicide/accidental was the cause of his death," but they were "still trying to figure out why."
"My aunt recently lost her 17 year old son from a self inflicted gun wound to the head," the post read. "He was her only son ! She was a single parent but took care of her son the best she could."
"Please keep my family in your prayers," she concluded.
According to Times Now, Huncho's friend, Twin Porter, broke the news to fans on his Facebook account. In a post he said, "to get a text saying he passed away is heartbreaking and to hear the mean things y’all are saying about Railey is so wrong on every level please god give his mother the strength to deal with the devastating pain she’s in."
In response to the video on X, many pointed out the need for training on the safe handling of firearms. Youtuber Amiri King said, "This is why I don’t advocate for cornballing out with firearms to look hard."
"I wish they force taught gun safety/firearm curriculum in ‘the hood’ and/or high crime areas," he added. "I think teaching 2A and weapon respect would put a dent in dumb s**t like this."
“Mom just bring me a Pepsi.”
Just one Pepsi!
Yep.
“I think teaching 2A and weapon respect would put a dent in dumb s**t like this.”
Nope! Not a chance. “You can’t fix stupid.”
What do you mean WE decided?!
this is definitely going to get him some street cred... as soon as they can scrape enough of it off the street.
Another GoFundMe.
It’s like they breed them in hopes of hitting the Ghetto Lottery.
Exactly! Gun ownership is an enumerated right so we should have “gun ed.” We have sex ed and it is not a right at all (even though some think it is).
As a child, I was given a pellet gun at an early age and shortly thereafter became proficient with rifles and shotguns. Even in the Boy Scounts, we had rifle ranges where we could shoot targets with our .22s.
The common denominator in all of this is that we had gun safety pounded into us and we would never think to play with a gun like this kid in that video. When you are not exposed to guns, you do not have the opportunity to develop respect for them.
This was the result of pure ignorance because he was never taught the proper way with guns.
So the video was posted online? That means someone else uploaded the video. Talk about morbid.
Anyone keeping a Punk Rock ping list?
The TikTok “Shoot yourself in the head” challenge.
No need for the Go Fund Me, Baby Mama should get a check from Crime Stoppers.
The Undisputed World Champion!
All that, and he’s still not famous.
Putting a loaded pistol to your head and pulling the trigger wasn’t a “risk”. It was a combination of self-loathing and bad judgement.
Now he need an amderlance
I didn’t notice if there was a magazine inserted.
The procedure for clearing such a pistol is:
Remove the mag,
Pull back the slide & check the chamber,
Let the slide go forward,
Point it in a ‘safe’ diection and then pull the trigger.
Ì he skipped a step. . .
And you probably lived ưith Mom & Dad to teach a lot of the daily things of living.
Like I ứa.
Assuming it was accidental.
We will never know, which is how suicide always works.
You can drop flowers all day long off the Tallahatchie Bridge, and you will never know why Billy Joe McAllister jumped.
If his intention was to drop the hammer on an empty chamber how would his “F y’all” statement make sense?
