Boy, oh for the days when the pope, priests, nuns, and Catholic universities were actually Catholic.
Nope!
Sadly.
Everybody’s got the liberal bone in their body. It’s ridiculous.
nuns are generally a rotten bunch
Woke nuns.
So you’re saying they listened to the speech and were having ‘nun’ of it?
But do they have Mad Skillz when it comes to making Sammichies?
Saving babies in the womb?
Fighting Jihad?
Recognizing that Pope Marx is a Marxist? Likely a fascist?
So says a bunch of lesbians.
Don’t speak for us?
Amazing how liberals always say that for THEMSELVES, but not for anyone else.
Sorry, idiots, you do not speak for ME. This woman. Nor for some 50% of women.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
My brothers first grade teacher nun ended up in jail in the late 70’s for child abuse.
Whatever she did must have been brutal to get jailed as a nun back then.
When we knew her a few years before she was an absolute tyrant who ruled everyone in the school with utter fear.
Except me. I was a real rebel and just didn’t care. She had a hard time figuring me out.
It is only controversial if a lefty is the author and disagrees with the statement made. Morons.
Except for direct quotes out of context, it is probably typical Today Show biased disinformation. Jenna Bush Hager appeared to be criticizing Democrats, not Butker.
How many kids do these nuns have? Exactly….none! Being a homemaker is the common sense choice once you have children. It’s not the only thing women should aspire to prior to having them. Duh!
Lay women tend to have babies and care for them which is largely at home. Nuns don’t.
Not enough communism for the nuns.
I read his speech and he really hit the catholic bishops hard with charges of being woke. I guess he should have pointed a finger at the nuns too. I have a lot of respect for this young man.
So opposing unity in error is sin.
One of our concerns was the assertion that being a homemaker is the highest calling for a woman,” the statement reads.
Butker was speaking in the overall normative sense, as Paul did:
I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. (1 Timothy 5:14)
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (Titus 2:5)Which includes the Proverbs 31 wife and mother, while not excluding women such as Anna. (Luke 2:36-38; cf. 1 Corinthians 7:37)
But ARE WOMEN PASTORS BIBLICAL? is answered in the negative.

Is the Pope Catholic?
Once upon a time, I’d have unequivocally said yes. Now, I’m very much in doubt that he is Catholic.
