I have looked periodically and no one sells a kit of this. I don’t they have a clue what it is or how it works.

That it was. I can just hear the conversation surrounding it some 2000+ years ago:

"A marvelous device, Phaestus! Why, two millennia from now people will still marvel at its complexity and accuracy."

"They'll record it as doing something it doesn't do in a play so bad that nobody will see it."

There is a guy on youtube that has spent a lot of time attempting to build a working copy of this mechanism. He mills all the metal himself. Freaking fascinating to watch, IMO.

It took a great mind to invent the Antikythera to bad the name isn’t known no telling what other great ideas were on his mind.
