there are only two things in life that scare the bejezus out of me- lighting and bats...
Flying foxes are absolutely adorable.
But as scientists are starting to learn, it also comes with some serious drawbacks. Especially as climate change continues warming the planet. Bats’ flight-adapted physiologies make them highly susceptible to severe droughts and heat waves. Plus, the proliferation of wind turbines — a climate solution that provides energy without harmful greenhouse gas emissions, and one we’ll need more of to combat warming — is killing them in droves.
The climate change hoax is nothing but bat guano.
Funny story. Catfishing one night with a friend. He was in the front chilling. A bat 🦇 flew toward our boat and planted on his face. He was lucky he wasn’t injured. We laughed after the incident.
Bats have a unique superpower. Climate change is turning it into a liability, while wind turbines are turning them into small bits.
I’ll tell you the quickest way to get me to move on to the next article, any mention of “climate change.” Same thing with movies. The movie is set in some apocalyptic future. The inevitable narration goes something like, “After the climate disaster of the early twenty-first—” “Click.”
