The beloved British series "Doctor Who" did not live up to ratings expectations after its star told viewers not to watch if they had a problem with the progressive messaging of the show. Its cast, former lead, and director have been promoting progressive ideologies recently, while the show's viewership has been cut nearly in half.
Lead actor and Doctor Who character Ncuti Gatwa already had the second-worst premiere for a season of "Doctor Who" in December 2023's Christmas special titled, "The Church on Ruby Road." According to the BBC, the episode had 4.7 million viewers.
As That Park Place noted, however, this only beat out the original "Doctor Who" premiere, "An Unearthly Child," that aired all the way back in 1963 to the tune of 4.4 million viewers. That same season saw a significant increase in viewership as it progressed, peaking at over 10 million viewers by episode 10.
The same upward trajectory cannot be said for Gatwa's iteration, who famously told critics not to watch if they didn't like the woke direction the series was taking.
"Don't watch. Turn off the TV. Go and touch grass, please, for God's sake," he told Variety. "As the world darkens — and I do think the world is darkening around queer rights — there is a joy and a celebration, and there’s a community," he continued.

She was a HORRIBLE Doctor.
Space Babies was meh. I liked The Devils Cord. The 3rd one is Moffats. He wrote all the Best episodes of the Rtd era.
Doctor Who needs another "wilderness period" like there was from 1989 to 2005. Then brought back by a BBC that hopefully will have come to its senses about the show. Have the new Doctor tell his companion "Oh I had twelve lives or so but it gets a little confusing after that. But enough about me, are those fish and chips I smell?" and that would be it to wipe out what came post-Capaldi.
I watched the “Ruby Christmas” episode, and it was okay.
I watched the one that came out last week or so, and it was disjointed, incohesive, weird, and made even less sense than “wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey” stuff.
It just was a bunch of slapstick stuck together with dried out snot.
I won’t bother to watch it anymore, unless I start back over with Chris Ecclestone, and watch through to Peter Capaldi.
The character is NOT gay.
The character is omnisexual. The actor is homosexual.
Heaven Sent/Hell Bent is two of the best episodes, ever. You really should watch those.
And any episode with William Hurt is fantastic.
“… Davies is buckling down on making the show as queer as it possibly can get and his boy toy Gatwa is all too happy to ruin one of science fiction television’s greatest heroes…”

That’s so gay! ;-)
The Rani faked the Doctor’s demise, and has trapped him in the TARDIS Brig. She used a Tansmat beam and holograms to fake his regeneration, and then spent two seasons doing all she could to ruin his reputation. Everything since then has been faked CGI footage published galactically to slag him. WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED: River, Susan, and the Doctor’s Daughter undertook a season of a massive, action-packed, Fem-hero driven questing, finally rescuing The Doctor, but in the battle, 12 died, and regenerated into Jackson Lake.
I agree. Who (no pun intended) was the Doctor before Tennant. I like him too.
Doctor Monkey Pox.
I didn’t even tune in for the Christmas episode last year.
I enjoyed Peter Capaldi as The Doctor. Those were the last of the fairly well written shows.
I did enjoy the David Tennet Doctor.
My favorite episode was The weeping Angels. The Dickens Christmas episode was great too.
Joanna Lumley was the only female Doctor who mattered;

Star Wars and Star Trek have also been ruined by the gay activists. Most shows have been wrecked by the ‘wokeness’ and even commercials.
Someone should sic the Weeping Angels on the Beeb...
We were discussing this the other day regarding TV. In our circle of friends and acquaintances the most ignorant and or stupidest people in our circle are the “TV heads” as we call them.
Capaldi had his moments

But went downhill when Clara left and the black lesbian was brought in
