What does Biden have to do to get food prices down appreciably enough to make a difference in this election? The only thing I can think of is to waive any taxes for producers. His inflation machine is too big, slow and cumbersome to do anything else, IMO.

I tend to agree.

First, this food-price talk also includes fast-food situations...where California dumped a ton of issues with it’s $20 an hour working-wage.

Then you come to the logistics cost bumped up...across the nation...having nothing to do with actual food, but getting it from point to point.

Then you come to people having not enough wages to cover the monthly bill....so they use the credit card (getting deeper into debt) to buy food essentials.

There would have to be a 100-item list to correct, and these guys aren’t smart enough to perform that.

My prediction...prime-rate drops 1-point by late August. Massive crash of the stock market by early December, and banks in freefall for all of December.

Or they’ll impose price controls.

Before: high and increasing food prices.
After: high food prices, shortages and empty shelves.

It's simple - use the AOC electricity supply model. Need more electricity? Put more outlets on the wall. Problem solved.

“What does Biden have to do to get food prices down appreciably enough to make a difference in this election?”

Unlike the petroleum reserve, there is no “grocery reserve” where FJB can at the stroke of a pen release groceries into the grocery supply chain.

There is absolutely nothing he can do, that is why the demonkkraps are writing a letter to him, asking him to “act” on food prices. Their goal has always been to acquire power, and keep power. Like Scarface Tony Montana said, first you get the power then you get the money. So they need to (1) blame the food industry (enemy) as the cause of the problem (not the feral givernment’s fiscal irresponsibility) and (2) make it look like caring FJB is doing something (”act”) even though FJB is not, (3) censor any info to the contrary so that (4) there are enough demonkkrap dolts to show up at the ballot box to give the steal a patina of legitimacy. Also, food prices in my book are also increased by illegal immigration. With millions more illegals and their anchor babies in the stores using givernment paid cards drives up demand versus supply chains that have not recovered since the great pandemic shutdown of 2020.

All he has to do is what Warren wants,— criminalize profits among retailers. Isn’t that what left-wingers have always wanted? Of course, we’ll-stocked shelves will become a thing of the past, but oh well —if it’s good enough for Venezuela it’s good enough for America.

There are other serious inflation issues on things besides groceries. Such as auto parts & labor. They seem to be extremely inflated these days. That’s just one more example besides groceries & if you encounter certain expenses that are inflated, they can put you in extreme circumstances much faster than a high grocery bill. I am stating this as a single person & naturally a grocery bill for a large family would probably hurt just as much as would other expenses for a single person. The main point is that while the Biden administration talks about reducing inflation, I see little actually being done.
