All he has to do is what Warren wants,— criminalize profits among retailers. Isn’t that what left-wingers have always wanted? Of course, we’ll-stocked shelves will become a thing of the past, but oh well —if it’s good enough for Venezuela it’s good enough for America.
That drives me crazy! The R NEVER rise to the defense of capitalism. The greediest organization on earth by far is the US federal government and it produces NOTHING. It has negative impact because all the regs it creates strangle us.
Can’t just one R give a full-throated defense of liberty, freedom and capitalism, the engines of our success?
Potential Dem/leftist solution:
Waistline Reduction Act.
Quit eating so much.
I remember back when Nixon instituted wage and price controls. Even affected me when I was overseas in the military. I also remember that the USSC eventually ruled the action unconstitutional.
Venezuela’s food crisis started when Caesar Chavez put price controls on food because of inflation caused food prices to rise. Venezuelans are now malnourished and are combing dumpsters for food.
Serious question, so take all your money out of the bank before December?
There are other serious inflation issues on things besides groceries. Such as auto parts & labor. They seem to be extremely inflated these days. That’s just one more example besides groceries & if you encounter certain expenses that are inflated, they can put you in extreme circumstances much faster than a high grocery bill. I am stating this as a single person & naturally a grocery bill for a large family would probably hurt just as much as would other expenses for a single person. The main point is that while the Biden administration talks about reducing inflation, I see little actually being done.
Oh, I agree with you totally. I was just talking about normal everyday expenses (non-emergency type) most everyone experiences. At least except those city types who eat out all the time and put their meals on a credit card, I guess....
There are a LOT of people who are literally only $200 to $1000 away from complete financial disaster, IMO.
