IMHO, the DNC made a tactical mistake having their convention in Chicago.
Illinois is now a very blue state, not at all a battleground state. They won’t sway any swing voters by having their convention there.
The RNC, OTOH, is having theirs in Milwaukee, very much a battleground state. It was a Republican victory in Wisconsin in 2016 that first broke the “Blue Wall” and paved the way for a Trump victory.
Little things add up to big victories.

1) Milwaukee is a $hithole.
2) I wouldn’t gamble on another 2020.2020.
That being said there is no place for ours as all cities are blue. So what’s left?
