I would have put it differently, something more along the lines of, Sitchin was either a lying fraud or a delusional fraud. Or maybe just, Sitchin was full of ****.

You must have missed this part. And the fact that it would not be a “literal” Sumerian to English translation, but a translation of metaphoric concepts.
That would be like expecting ancient accounts of “flying shields” interpretations to be a perfect direct English translation to “flying saucers”.
Quite obvious to understand the metaphor concept even though it is not a literal one to one translation.
