“When is this solar storm energy going to get to earth?”
The first three arrived at earth about lunchtime today. Things are starting to ramp up.
4 more are on their way, including one from a 7th flare today - this one was an X5.8 which is pretty strong - maybe arriving in about 3 days - give or take.

You may be able to see aurora in Southern Oregon if you have clear skies. I’m not able to see anything (yet) in Fort Worth, but there is a lot of light pollution and mostly cloudy skies here.
I do not know if this has ever been posted.
A good second listen then.

Thank you. Skies totally clear but our property has a tall fir canopy, only bits of sky over the garden area. No real north sky visible. We’d have to drive someplace unless the lights over the whole sky!
I just shared that link on TS and X.

wow! based on time stamp on video, the northern light show went on for 3-4 hours
step up, easy.
I started looking for more information on the solar storm and its effects on our infrastructure after we had an electric panel burn up over the weekend. This is a panel that controls our towns water well. We had to purchase a new panel from the Electric Distributor for replacement. We have learned of at least 8 similar incidents with other electrical components that occurred following the solar storm.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues?
It looks like there are still flares happening but I don’t know the timing or when/if they will have any effect on us.
