In context, Paul is talking about meats offered to idols. Just as he was in Romans. We need to keep things in context. And it’s not a sin to eat clean meat which God identified.
I don’t throw out the Old Testament, it’s the only Bible Jesus ever had. And I know the differences between ceremonial laws, and the moral law and I know if a pig was dirty before the cross, it’s dirty after the cross. Those who consume swine will not enter heaven.......
Finally, go ahead and eat meat, clean meat, it’s not a sin. But when you get colon cancer, just dont complain to God. As Seventh day Adventist Trauma Surgeon Dr. Lorraine Day says....you can’t improve on God.
Take a look:

>>>God also gave man meat to eat. Matter of fact, it was required of some of their feasts, like Passover.
Who knew God was trying to hurt them?>>>
Again, the original issue i was responding to was did God create us to eat meat. The answer is no. THat is obvious in Genesis. AFter the fall, and the flood of Noah, he gave man permission to eat clean meats that he identified. And this was before any Jew was around too. Noah was told what animals to enter the ark and they were by clean and unclean.
After the fall, we do see certain ceremonial acts required to symbolize the plan of salvation. Such as Passover. And I think we can hardly consider these ceremonial acts to be daily diet.
God rained down manna , bread from heaven but the children of Israel wanted flesh foods. God wasnt happy, so he gave them so much meat, it came out of their nostrils.
It was never in God’s plan for us to kill any of his creatures and eat them. But after the fall, he did give us permission to eat meat if we wanted to.
But we can’t improve on God and in Genesis we see perfection including a perfect diet. Red Meat is tied to colon cancer and animal products too. cheese is so unhealthy, it’s unfit for human consumption.
I trust God and I read the Bible and keep everything in context.
Powdered vitamin C, or capsules, is good for constipation...start slow. I do not understand why docs do not recommend.
No. People design the studies and often they are designed for a specific outcome.
Here is one perfect example.....

“Link to a video on a news topic going around about how urban gardening has a 5x or 6x worse carbon impact than industrial farming.
It’s a great breakdown.

Thanks BigDaddyTX for that invaluable link.
Sure, if we lived in a sin free world with perfect bodies, we wouldn’t need meat. But things changed with the Fall and our bodies cannot remain healthy without meat protein.
Like I said earlier, if the vegan diet works for you, have at it. Good for you. But it’s not possible to say it’s good for you because it can be proved that at this pint in time with these fallen bodies, we need animal protein.
I thought that Garden of Eden diet fad faded years ago. Too bad it’s still around.
I have previously posted these two articles, but I consider the info in them very valuable, especially the embedded Table.
Hope they are helpful.

Maybe you didn’t see my link where loma linda California, mostly vegetarian seventh day Adventists live longer healthier lives than the general population....
And it can all be 5 to diet alone with no other confounding factors?
That’s not convincing.
At the very least, a vegetarians/vegan diet is B12 deficient, which is an important vitamin. And sure, these days we can take supplements, but if you are on a diet that requires supplements to round it out, that is proof that the diet is NOT adequate.
Eat vegan if you want but it’s not adequate nutrition for humans.
"available evidence from meta-analyses, clinical trials, and expert opinions supports the use of inulin, typically at doses of 12g or more per day, as an effective treatment for improving bowel habits and relieving constipation"
...with a list of references
I just started it so no comment thus far.
Ping to #48.
On your comment about sensitivity, I used to be hypersensitive to practically everything but no longer. Now my GI tract seems to be on the insensitive side. Therefore looking at supps for regularity.
40,000 residents in Loma Linda CA, most of whom are Seventh day Adventists, all who keep the Sabbath and most who are vegetarians if not full vegans......and living 10 years longer and heathier than the general population......that’s not convincing?
What about Daniel chapter 1? What about God giving his people meatless manna for 40 years? What about Genesis where we see the designer of the human body giving us his diet for the human body...fruits, grains, nuts, vegetables.......Adam lived over 900 years. NO meat. They lived hundreds of years..no meat. Noah lived over 600 years.....no meat except for awhile until the vegetation came back after the flood.
I trust God and I trust the Bible when the Bible and science conflict. Science says I evolved from an Ape over billions of years. The Bible says I am fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. I trust God ..
