I don’t know his family history, but it sounds like afib. I got it.

My grandfather was dead at 53 (my age). Mom was dead at 60.

My grandfather had 3 strokes and 4 heart attacks by 53. Last one got him. Never knew him.

I’m on meds. I hate it.

That's a shame. I was thinking it was the latter for Randy Travis as well. At least they have medicine for it. Also, sorry for the loss of your parents at such an early age, but if definitely made you grow up quicker knowing that you shared that genetic trait.

I actually think I was starting to have one. I became somewhat disoriented when I laid down to collect myself, and it only seemed to make me feel worse. When I sat back up, I could feel my jaw start to freeze up or at least it felt like it was trying to, I should say. I immediately jumped to my feet, and even though it was difficult, balance wise, I forced myself to walk around as I was opening & closing my jaw. I have no clue how long I did so, but it seemed long to me at the time. In other words, it didn't clear up within a few seconds. Fortunately, if it was a stroke, I suffered no lasting damage. I've had no repeat episode either thankfully. I do have high blood pressure that I take medicine for.
