Tom Selleck may have warned CBS earlier this year that there are an “awful lot of people” who aren’t ready to say goodbye to Blue Bloods, but there are no plans to extend the police procedural beyond its 14th and final season.
During a press conference Thursday to discuss the fall schedule, Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach conceded that while they will miss the series at CBS, the drama will still wrap after the second half airs this fall.
The first half of Blue Bloods‘ 14th season kicked off February 16. The second half of the season will return in October.

NYPD Blue. Good story lines. I didn’t understand why that show was taken off TV. It was a good show - some actors we never see anymore...
No, you’re confusing Mark Wahlberg with his brother Donnie.
You can watch it on your phone, your tablet or your computer, you know.
“Hell, I didn’t know it was still on.”
Me, either. I watched the first five or six seasons and really enjoyed it. I thought it ended back then.
“It got pretty woke, and anti-religious.”
That’s sad to hear. When I quit watching it after season 5 or 6, that had not crept in.
How did they turn a very religious, conventional family anti-religious?
I watch it every week and no it hasn’t gone really woke and anti-religious.
I always had a problem figuring out which was which too. I knew who you meant. Donnie dumped his first wife to marry ex-MTV and nude Playboy model Jenny McCarthy.
What about when Tom Selleck says the Catholics Church "condemns homosexuals" - even some of the groups that supported them were angry about that.
What about the one were they said drag queens are saint?
What about the one they said committing a fake hate crime was understandable?
Generally that LGBT are better?
Whites are bad, toxic masculinity, institutional racism?
Is it available to stream for free? I’m not paying for streaming service.
But the one I've mentioned a lot was in Season 3. Where a Catholic girl coverts to Islam, so her father kills her. They took great pains to use Muslim terminology, and portray it as Catholics do honor killings, and Muslims are all benevolent. Is that how it usually is?
I like his character the most. I still laugh when a suspect something smart assed and Danny says "shut up."
> I still laugh when a suspect something smart assed and Danny says “shut up.” <
Speaking of which, I wonder if suspects are as stupid in real life as they are on that show.
Danny: You’d better talk.
Suspect: I don’t know anything.
Danny: It will go easier on you if you talk now.
Suspect’s lawyer nods.
Suspect: Yes, yes, I did it.
Seems pretty unrealistic to me. For example, no DA shows up to cut any kind of plea deal. But then again, I was never a police detective. So what do I know?
Remember that Hollywood is runs by Whore$ 1st and politics 2nd.
Good riddance to propaganda.
I haven’t checked. Sometimes early seasons are free and later seasons are paid. Somebody said that it is on Paramount. The other strategy is to sign up for a free one week trial and watch a season to see if you like it.
I’ll get back to you on this. I have to call someone I know who was a detective, and I’ll read your post to him.
I corrected myself at #37....Donnie is the one who is host to a series of crime stories on TV...forget the name of it..It’s a good show...
My wife watches this show so I overhear it from my perch at the computer.
It’s a good show, but Tom Selleck is getting a little old to play his part. He’s almost as old as the guy who plays his dad. Probably best to let it go while he’s still able to move around a little.
>> He’s almost as old as the guy who plays his dad. <<
Yes, that is a funny thing, Len Carriue is only about 5 years older than Tom Selleck.
I will miss the show but think it is reasonable to end it now.aybe in a few years we can have Blue Bloods: the Next Generation, and the younger brother can be police commissioner. The granddaughter can struggle being a defense attorney until she gets mugged....
Haven’t watched an episode since Who-peed Goldbrick appeared in it.
