But prolonged fasting on a regular basis can remove inflammatory markers, inflammatory markers, improve gut microbiota, enhance cellular repair, and remove waste from the body etc. There are supplements (and foods !) that do the same.
Kombucha and sauerkraut have become staples in our diet for this reason. It also helps to “eat local.” Anyone who’s lived in the same region for more than 5 years would benefit from eating foods grown and native to the region. They often help reduce inflammation and allergic response for instance to pollens from local flora.
It’s always best to get one’s nutrients from a healthy, well-balanced diet.
Get supplements as needed as, you guessed it, a supplement to that. :-)
As for fasting, we do 12 hour fasts. Have an early dinner and then, usually, nothing til breakfast the next morning.
