Thank you! Even if I get one or two potatoes from these, I’ll be happy with the learning experience.

Next question, can you do this with onions? One of those is sprouting at the top. I’ve not ever had this happen before. Maybe my garage isn’t as cool and dry as I’ve thought.

NOTE: Why can’t I just plant a whole onion?

I have tried planting whole onions, and I find that they have a higher tendency to rot in garden soil compared to planting just the sprout. I don’t recommend it.
