'This Is the Best Country to Live in, Period': US Woman Visited 193 Countries Before Settling Down in Singapore
AsiaOne ^ | APRIL 24, 2024 | Amierul Rashid

Having travelled solo to 193 countries in the world, YouTuber The Krazy Koala, or KK for short, declared Singapore "the best country to live in".

The Singapore Permanent Resident (PR), who hails from the US, has been living here for the past seven years, and it sounds like she's not leaving anytime soon.

In a chat with fellow content creator Max Chernov, shared on YouTube on Monday (April 22), KK spoke about her adventures around the world and why she ranks Singapore high on her list of countries.

"As a traveller who has been to 193 countries, this is the best country to live in—period," she said.

It's all about efficiency

KK's travel adventures have exposed her to a variety of experiences that have shaped her views on many countries she has visited.

"How do you perceive Singapore?" Max asked.

She did not take long to answer, claiming that "most of the countries" in the world are simply "inefficient".

KK provided some examples, such as immigration, travelling to and from the airport and even congestion on the roads in general.

"It's so rare to see traffic jams in Singapore and you can get [out of] Changi Airport in five minutes. It's so fast," she added.

For KK, time is money and should anything cost her "too much time", then it's something she might not want to do.

What's impressive about her list of countries visited is that she only began solo travelling a decade ago.

She told Max that she caught the travel bug and simply wanted to continue exploring the world.

"Once you get to the point of travelling to 100 countries, then you just want to finish the rest," KK shared.

From best to worst

Of all the 193 countries she's visited, KK revealed that Syria was the most impactful.

It's a country that is unlikely to be on many people's travel list, given the current situation there and how it is often portrayed in media.

Before stepping foot in the country, KK was aware about how supposedly dangerous Syria is.

But her experience there was not at all what many might have expected.

"People are so friendly and so happy to see you," she said.

KK also noted that children in Syria "have never seen a foreigner", and they were more than happy to interact with her, despite the language barrier.

While her trip to Syria was a revelation, visiting its nearby neighbour Egypt was a whole different experience for her.

Of course, KK pre-empted her response by stating that this was her own personal views.

"I went to Egypt 13 years ago, I don't know how it is like now but my experience at the time was horrible. I [faced] a lot of sexual harassment back then," she recalled.

Training to be soldiers

As if it's not impressive enough to have travelled the entire world before making Singapore your home, KK is also a member of the Singapore Armed Forces Volunteer Corps (SAFVC).

She decided to join the SAFVC due to her love for Singapore. As "actions speak louder than words", KK felt it was the best way for her to give back to the country.

"I've been a PR of Singapore for many years. I personally benefit so much from the safety, the environment, the facilities, the efficiency of the country.

"And I think that by being a soldier, and being part of the army, it's time for me to contribute to the safety of the country that I've benefitted from," she said.

Between 1976 and 2008 I spent a fair amount of time in Singapore on business. I mostly worked with the universities and polytechnics as well as the semiconductor industry there. It’s easily my favorite foreign country. Friendly and intelligent people, easy to get around, safe, good food, etc. Would I want to live there? No.

Besides Old Money, the fact that she is Asian really helps her to fit in with the main demographic. Sort of like being a Black person extolling the virtues of living in Atlanta Georgia. She is less conspicuous as a foreigner.

The backstory on that book… I was doing development work in Afghanistan in 2003. A woman from Singapore showed that book at a conference, and said “Here’s what Afghanistan needs to do.” She was a brilliant Christian Harvard grad, with all her education expenses paid by the government (as explained in the book). Yew was a “benevolent socialist” who did what was best for his country.

She found a place she likes best. Great.

She either inherited money or earned it.
Either case, it was hers to use as she chose.

How were the creepy crawlies there? Saw someone pushing life in rural japan, but then you saw the huts they lived in and how they had constantly invading creepie crawlies- some pretty nasty lookin- the huts were not exactly sealed off to the outdoor world

Well, I guess it’s clean.

And when you go for a walk you don’t step in gum and have to scrape it off.

Or at least, you can take comfort in knowing that the gum chewer was flogged, executed, and dumped into the sea.

But Singapore does seem sterile and lifeless.

“ the reality is the vast majority of families live in modestly-sized apartments built by the government—concentrated, high-rise housing estates that elsewhere in the world might, to some, conjure images of low-income urban blight. ”

It’s a Manhattan.

Live in huge complexes.

Safe, clean, prosperous, no drugged out bums, no graffiti beautiful sights...

Spent a lot of time there, and it is very clean and safe. There is a very controlled area in Singapore where the underbelly and all associated activities is tightly constrained. As long it happens within the boundary and doesn’t become too extreme (think murder, rape, etc), law enforcement looks the other way. After numerous two week trips there, I needed something to do, so I wanted to find out if there was an underbelly. Trust the Russians to help point the way.

I’m all for her. Have been to many countries and liked Singapore best. Immaculate, wonderful restaurants, friendly law-abiding people, great climate, interesting history. I told friends on trip I’d like to live there

“That sort of thing happens on the way to white genocide”

That is not far fetched.

I truly believe the following...

“Two groups of people whose members are easily identifiable as belonging to one or the other group AND whose group average IQ differs significantly, will never be able to peacefully coexist together.”

The reasons are quite obvious when you follow the logical consequences of that postulate.

Where self inflicted white genocide comes in is due mostly to the fact that whites have become rather soft hearted and soft headed. In their soft, compassionate heart they push the false idea that all races are the same to not make members of the lower IQ group feel bad (but deep down they actually don’t believe that lie).

To do that convincingly, Whites have to constantly artificially elevate blacks AND they have to constantly debase, flagellate and guilt themselves into slobbering pathetic fools, as we see happening everyday. All in the in-vain goal to prove their noble lie, ie, that all races on average are the same.

These acts continues until they debase themselves into extinction.

Or perhaps a miracle happens, and whites once again get a backbone, deservedly become proud men again and kick ass like they did throughout history.

Remains to be seen how things unfold, but the more time passes the more I think the former will happen - whites will be the new Neanderthals.

What do you think?

Being “conspicuous” can be a great positive. I grew up being “conspicuous”. We had a considerable social advantage thereby.

Singapore (and formerly Hong Kong) were great places for an unmarried white man with resources.
