Everybody says, that A-Ha's "Take on Me" was the ultimate 80's one hit wonder, but I disagree, it's Modern English.
It's Friday, have fun.

One of the more upbeat songs about nuclear war.

Also featured in the movie “Valley Girl”, which I believe was Nicholas Cage’s first movie role.

“I melt with you”
I think of Jefferson Starship’s 1970 Starship song with piano by Grace Slick and lead guitar work by the late Jerry Garcia.

Don't forget this one hit wonder:
Never Say Never - Romeo Void
When I first heard this song I thought the lead singer had to be one sexy lady.
Not.

I was always a massive Cars fan, at least until Big Country hit the scene. There was no looking back after that. BC is still my favorite band, to this day.
Recently I’ve rediscovered the genius of The Jam. I liked them back in the day, but didn’t realize just how good they were until this past decade or so.
The 80s were simply amazing, overall.
