Loved Tom and the Heartbreakers upon first listen. He chronicled my own Life in meaningful, beautiful ways. But he was just another Southern boy turned a citizen of the L.A. ethos. He even repented of and disowned Southern Accents during the Floyd brouhaha. He died alone, in pain masked by drug fog, his Muse spent, his work over, choosing Death over Life, Love and Family. Bummer.
