Trump has probably made a deal, which could be good. I trust Trump.

I think Don Jr came out and said these spenders sending money away are not our friends. The media knew he meant Johnson.

If Hakeen Jeffries becomes speaker and Donald Trump wins re-election, would his election be certified?

We tried replacing the RINO speaker, and just received a Kevin McCarthy clone as a result. And, the GOP only has a two-seat majority now, as a result of retirements and stupidly ejecting that loser Representative in New York and subsequently losing the seat.

At this point, maybe we should try and win the Presidency and build out a new, larger majority in the House. And then work on trimming the fat after that.

If Johnson is removed he and maybe more RINOs will probably resign like McCarthy did when he was removed.
That will give the Demoncrats the House majority and they will use it to declare Trump ineligible for “Insurrection”.
That’s what this is about.
Trump wants Johnson to keep the chair until he is sworn in in January.

Sure let’s throw out our leadership and lose the House 6 months before the election.

Let’s have MTG run everything with 3 or 4 others.

Let’s ignore Trump’s advice on the eve of the election.

All over one issue. /s

I support aid to Ukraine, but if Johnson had blocked it, I would not in a million years have wanted to depose him over it.

Good God, I’ve seen this one issue outrage from conservatives over the years and it’s always absurd.

I remember a republican gritting his teeth and yelling at me “I don’t care! “ when I said he was just going to elect a far worse Democrat.

So is Trump supportive of Johnson, or is Trump saying he does not want to see a messy fight over the speakership again?

After Johnson broke up the bills and catered to Joe:

“Don Jr. was irate.

“Enough already!” Don Jr. wrote. “If you ever even begin to start believing anything anyone in Republican leadership tells you just watch this. Pay close attention to those that don’t seem bothered by this. They’re not our friends.”

Yea, just keep ignoring that majority of 1.

According to BullCrapico:

The Earth is flat.

Globull Warming, Globull Cooling, Climate Change, Climate Crisis is all true.

President Trump has never built anything, and Biden is brilliant.

Trump publicly supported Ronna until he gained the leverage to dump her.

Trump is publicly supporting Johnson until there is enough leverage to replace Johnson and to maintain a majority.

Statehoods, court packing, amnesty and election law modifications are all at stake right now as we maintain a one seat majority and as Johnson continues to to block those issues from coming to the floor.

“or rather, doesn’t want: a messy election-year coup that throws the House into chaos and again reminds voters what MAGA governance can look like.”

It’s politics, even Trump has to play that game. I don’t see how Trump could be pleased when he was all over truth telling Congress to kill FISA. Nothing of consequence will occur between now and the election, let Johnson ride out the remainder of the year then get rid of him.

Mathematical reality...

Republicans cannot win a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives unless we elect 5% to 10% RINOs.

Republicans cannot win a majority in the U.S. Senate unless we elect 5% to 10% RINOs.

No RINOs?

No majority.

If the RINO compromise is too painful, or too dishonorable, to contemplate, then Republicans should proudly declare that we will NEVER seek a majority, in the House or the Senate, if we must compromise our political principles.

Johnson has been put into an impossible situation.

There is a plot to force/entice Republican House members to resign to give Democrats a majority in the House to oust Johnson and torpedo Trumps election.

It's working and the Republican majority is effectively nil.

With such a slim majority every power broker, drama queen, grand stander and saboteur is empowered to break the system.

It's an election year and Ukraine funding is a hot button issue.

Due to Biden Administration malfeasance, the Biden proxy war has reached a critical point and the Ukraine is on the brink of military and economic collapse.

Absent another round of US funding the Ukraine will collapse in the very near term.

Johnson is faced with wars in Ukraine and the Middle East and a China that is actively working to exploit these conflicts to allow it to further it's military ambitions in Asia.

The Ukraine is one of the most strategically important countries in the world and it's collapse will have serious world wide repercussions.

Johnson was presented with two options

- Block funding to Ukraine and allow it to collapse

- Pass a Ukraine/ Taiwan/Israel/ Hamas funding bill on terms favorable to Democrats and unpopular to his conservative base.

He had very little choice but to opt for the latter because allowing Ukraine to collapse would be an unrecoverable, irreversible disaster.

The funding for Ukraine allows the Biden Admin and Congressional Democrats to continue their disastrous policy of unceasing death and destruction in Ukraine, followed by inevitable defeat, or worse - direct US /NATO military intervention with Russia.

It does, however, give the Ukraine the ability to hold out in hopes of a Trump win and a Trump Administration committed to peace agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine.

America is going to be given a very stark contrast between a Trump Presidency and Biden Presidency and one of the biggest contrasts is going to be foreign policy and how we deal with the proxy war in Ukraine.

I'm not happy with what Johnson has done, but the fact is the other option was the near term collapse of Ukraine resulting in the military defeat of Ukraine which would be a disaster for the entire world.

Don't see how the Speaker had any other option.
