But just look at them...a cabal of over-monied self-spoiled egoists presuming that they're smarter than all of us and even more wrongly...God, whom most denies exists so they can feel better about themselves and their actions.

Pushing stupid concepts like mankind is destroying our environment when the earth laughs off far more damaging volcanic "catastrophes" so quickly. Claiming we're causing a warming trend that will melt the icecaps (after claiming the opposite 40 years ago)...while continuing to buy beachfront extravagance to reside in.

So this idea of attaining immortality through transferring their mind to a cybernetic construct is also folly - because even if a credible reconstruction of the person's personality is made the soul would still be lost.

That little bit that keeps most of us live people on the moral path striving to do good while denying evil.

If you haven't seen "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" there's a perfect example of this in that movie. Excellent movie all around saying much more about trusting government and what can happen letting it run amok so see it anyway.

There is a movie called "Chiller" where a corporate exec dies and is cryogenically frozen in the hopes that he can be revived. 10 years later, the procedure is a success, and he returns--without his soul.

Without a soul, he turns into a killer....
